My husband and I stayed for a week in February 2018 and it was wonderful. A small, quiet hotel right on the ocean. The office staff was very helpful. The… read more grounds are well cared for. It is in walking distavce to resturants and stores.I hope to return again for another stay.

We just got back home to Alaska with single digit temps. Man, I miss Troncones. Tres Mujeres made everything easy. From the shuttle airport pick-up,… read more to recommendations for activities and restaurants. Onesimo is the man! Super friendly and always helpful with whatever questions you may have. Lisa was also great and made our stay a pleasant one. She arranged surfing, yoga, etc. and always asked how everything was going. She even bailed us out after hours when my wife accidentally locked the door going out to the patio/bathroom area. Thanks Lisa! We stayed in the Azul room which is on the second floor. The view from the bedroom was incredible. Every morning we opened the sliding glass door and watched the waves roll in. Tres Mujeres has a "community kitchen" that has everything you need to cook meals if you’re into that sort of thing. We chose to eat out, but definitely said when we return we would utilize that more. The beach in front of the hotel is great for walkin/running. Not overly crowded at all. Take a short walk left on the beach and you will be where everyone swims, boogie boards, and surfs. Troncones town is walking distance. There are small markets where you can buy wine, beer, food. There is one ATM in town, and it ran out of money. So heed my advice and bring enough pesos. It’s fun to rent a bike from Victor and ride down to Manzanillo Bay(lay on the beach, good swimming beach) and on down the road to Majahua(smaller village then Troncones) There are a few beach side restaurants here. I was reluctant to give this review because Troncones and Tres Mujeres are the kind of places you don’t want to see get too popular. We will be back.

We stayed 10 days in January, booked 2 different rooms, and enjoyed our stay.
We usually did not bother to lock our rooms, and at night left the porch sliding… read more doors open at night to listen to the surf. It is very safe here. There are screens for the doors and windows.
The rooms are nice and comfortable, little fridges, open showers, getting use to using the ‘insta-hot’ water takes some getting use to, the water can be really hot.
The morning coffee, juice, fresh fruit and muffins are great, and they are out all morning, no need to get up extra early to get them.
There is a book library, the pool is great, lounge seating both in the sun and in the shade, for those not wanting to burn their skin. The new restaurant across the street is worth visiting, as well as the massage that is just to the left 200′ leaving out the front door at the road.
They are always doing cleaning and maintenance around the place, they should do a little touch up painting, but that’s very minor.
The location is about a 5-10 minute walk from the main intersection in town.
Would highly recommend a stay here.
